Iyanya is the Boss!

I haven’t seen or heard anything like it before. Yes I know, I’ve been silent for a long while, but this definitely broke my silence. With the increasing number of people on Instagram and some even becoming Instagram celebrities, people are doing all sorts of things to be noticed.

And Iyanya just kills it with this totally blank black picture. And gets this much likes on it in just a few mins, haba! While some people hardly even get 3 likes on their Sunday best, hahahahahaha… as said by one of his followers in the 2nd image.

If this is a publicity stunt, it totally worked. Now tell me who’s the boss now?

Groundies are the new Selfies!

Getting bored of taking selfies? Say hello to groundie! Now don’t give that tale that you haven’t heard of it. Or probably you were on a long vacation to Antarctica when groundies made the debut. I’ll just as well fill you in.

Remember when selfies went viral and everybody just had to take a selfie everywhere they went and with everything they ate. We all saw what the selfie plague did to us; the toilet mirror and the car selfies, sleep selfies, the food in mouth selfies and the now fast-becoming-a-trend irritating nude selfies.

If you really look at it, selfies are fast becoming boring. So why take just a shot of your face when you can take a whole shot of you on the ground. At first, the first sets of groundies were sort of like a gimmick to imitate funny studio poses. But when the pictures made the rounds and became viral on Facebook and Instagram, people started taking and posting pictures of their own groundies. Spreading themselves all over the floor, stairs, pavement, open field, and the daring ones took theirs to the express roads (I’d advise you not to try this one). Can’t particularly tell who started this trend though, but I’ve give the credit to Nigerians for making it popular.

These next pics are just hilarious.

Imagine his reaction if he had gotten bitten by a snake.

I tell you groundies are fast becoming the in thing, and I’m sure you don’t want to be left out. For me they’re just the perfect pose for a picnic, beach, pre-wedding shots, and a magazine cover photo. You need just these 3 things to take the perfect groundie; you, the floor, and a creative setting. While you’re chewing on that, let me take a groundie!

How to look PERFECT in knotted wrapper

If there is one fashion trend making the waves in 2014, it’s the knotted wrappers! Take it or leave it. It’s purely African with a blend of chic and sexy.

How about showing up in a wedding, beach cocktail party, or even a baby shower in knotted wrapper. Oh yeah…if you do know that feeling you get when you’re looking fashionably awesome. Wearing a knotted wrapper is not that difficult to pull off, even if many ladies have properly dropped their African wrapper for western clothes.

Here is how to pull of that sexy knotted wrapper look. This look has gone beyond African prints(Ankara), and is now been explored with several other sweet materials like silk satin, velvet, lace, George etc.

First to tie a wrapper properly, you need to make sure the front and the back are equal so one isn't longer than the rest. Then you open your legs wide so when you tie you don’t have problem walking. For those who don’t know exactly how to tie the knot, this is what you do. When you've taken your wrapper round, you leave the tips out so you can tie those two together into a knot. Then you bring both ends together and move both ends to opposing sides, after which you make a double twist from one end to the other and tie it at the back. Tuck your loose ends in and you’re good to go.

Food lust: Dark Chocolate

Dark chocolate has recently been discovered to have a number of healthy benefits. While eating dark chocolate can lead to the health benefits described below, remember that chocolate is also high in fat. Use FitDay to keep track of your calories and nutrition as you work towards your weight loss goals.

Dark Chocolate is Good for Your Heart

Studies show that eating a small amount of dark chocolate two or three times each week can help lower your blood pressure. Dark chocolate improves blood flow and may help prevent the formation of blood clots. Eating dark chocolate may also prevent arteriosclerosis (hardening of the arteries).

Dark Chocolate is Good for Your Brain

Dark chocolate increases blood flow to the brain as well as to the heart, so it can help improve cognitive function. Dark chocolate also helps reduce your risk of stroke. Dark chocolate also contains several chemical compounds that have a positive effect on your mood and cognitive health. Chocolate contains phenylethylamine (PEA), the same chemical your brain creates when you feel like you're falling in love. PEA encourages your brain to release endorphins, so eating dark chocolate will make you feel happier.Dark chocolate also contains caffeine, a mild stimulant. However, dark chocolate contains much less caffeine than coffee. A 1.5 ounce bar of dark chocolate contains 27 mg of caffeine, compared to the 200 mg found in an eight ounce cup of coffee.

Dark Chocolate also helps Control Blood Sugar:so when next you get a chocolate lust, go firthe dark ones and get the real ones.

Fitness:6 ways you're sabotaging your Exercise

In search of the perfect body, we're more likely to be drawn to popularized fitness routines than real work. We want the results without putting in the time. Unfortunately it doesn't work like that. There are no shortcuts to weight loss and building muscle. And often, these shortcuts are just sabotaging the time you're putting in. Here are six things you should avoid.

1. Doing EverythingTrying to lose weight, gain muscle, run faster and increase endurance all at once is sending your body mixed signals. Ambition is great, but when you try to do everything you end up failing to do anything. Rein in your goals and create a plan to achieve them.

2. Giving Up After you figure out your goals and create a workout program, you have to stick to it for more than a week or two. You can't expect to get stronger after just a few workouts. Results are a byproduct of consistency and hard work. See your plan through, give it time, and re-evaluate in six to eight weeks.

3. Being a FollowerThere will always be someone out there who is bigger, stronger or faster than you. Don't worry about everyone else, worry about yourself. Their workout isn't necessarily better than yours. Don't fall into the follow the leader trap. Focus on your workout and try to better your performance instead of comparing yourself to everyone else in the gym.

4. Faking It You can't show up for a workout, go through the motions, and then expect to see results. Are you willing to put in the work? Without the effort, exercise is useless.

5. Skipping OutIf your workouts are hit or miss, your will results will be too. Skipping workouts is one way to guarantee zero progress will be made.

6. Over-Doing It Skipping workouts is bad, but so is skipping rest days. Try and find a balance between work and rest. Take time off to recover between workouts. Fuel your body with the proper foods. Get to bed on time. Each of these factors will have an impact on your performance and progress.
